Join Outcast's Theatre of the Oppressed Ensemble for an evening of Forum Theatre, a truly unique experience with the only company in town that invites willing members of their audience to make the leap from being a spectator, to becoming a spect-actor! Don’t like the direction a particular scene is going? Wish you could give one of the characters a piece of your mind? Come on up and step into the shoes of the protagonist as we collectively consider better alternatives for the show just performed.
In an effort to raise funds for their main-stage production of “Orange" this August, Outcast TC is proud to present two original short plays centered on women of color:
Based on a true story, “The Women of Juarez” shares the plight surrounding the disappearance of Luz María, a Mexican maquiladora laborer in the city that lies directly across from El Paso, Texas.
And we are happy to announce the debut performance of our most recent “page to the stage” creation,“10,000 Ants,” where the previously described Forum Theatre will be facilitated. Help us navigate various troublesome scenarios experienced all within a day in the life of our main character, Alexis.
